Position Summary
The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Business Administration invites applicants for non-tenure system faculty positions in the Department of Marketing.
Duties & Responsibilities
Non-tenure system faculty in the College of Business Administration teach courses to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their field of expertise and provide service to their department, college, and/or campus. Additionally, non-tenure system faculty at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, and Clinical Professor make intellectual contributions to their discipline through basic or applied research and/or activities that translate disciplinary scholarship to a professional audience. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- For consideration for all ranks, a bachelor's degree and five years of relevant professional experience or training.
- For consideration for the rank of Lecturer, a Master's degree is additionally required.
- For consideration for the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, or Teaching Professor a terminal degree (PhD) in business or field related to the teaching domain is required.
- For consideration for the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor a terminal degree (PhD) in a relevant field is additionally required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Documented experience teaching undergraduate marketing classes.
- Experience teaching
- Requirements for the rank of Lecturer include a master’s degree preferably in marketing or related field, and evidence of teaching capability.
The role will entail teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in any or all the areas of introduction to marketing, digital marketing, branding, marketing research, marketing analytics and potentially other areas withing marketing.
