- Master’s degree in a field relevant to community development finance such as public policy, community development, business or urban planning.
- At least 15 years of experience in finance, community development or related field, with demonstrated experience in grant writing.
- Good organization skills, detail orientation, persistence, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a supportive, people-centered approach.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to the community development sector and the critical role of nonprofit organizations in driving social change.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with co-workers and representatives from the nonprofit, corporate, philanthropic, and public sectors, and with a diverse range of individuals and organizations.
- Strong fundraising skills.
- Strong skills in facilitative leadership; communicate effectively with both internal and external constituencies; and, work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a tight-knit team.
- Ability to think strategically, remaining focused on goals and objectives;
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or other terminal degree preferred.
