Adjunct Faculty - Business Administration
Job Description
- Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
- Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
- Evaluates and grades students' class work, assignments, papers, and examinations
- Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
- Be attentive to responding to students emails within a 24 hour time frame
- Periodic meetings with supervisor or Chair of the department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Primary responsibilities include teaching a two classes ( 6 hours) per semester in the Business disciple to undergraduate students. Must be able to teach face-to-face on campus, hybrid, or full online courses, subject to the needs of the department of business at Fisk University.
A Ph.D. in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with experience in teaching a variety of courses in subdisciplines of Business.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years successful teaching in the field of Business
- Proven ability to cultivate professional relationships with local, state and federal businesses

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
