Job Description
Plan, prepare, implement, teach, and evaluate discipline coursework in the Psychology discipline. Participate in course and program development and evaluation. Participate in assigned committees and task forces. Collaborate with various colleagues and stakeholders to address and respond to relevant issues affecting student success.
The teaching assignment will include some combination of face-to-face and online Psychology courses. Face-to-face courses may be delivered on Richland’s campus or at cooperating dual-credit high schools. The teaching load is five courses per fall and spring semester. Opportunities for summer teaching may be available.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a master’s degree in psychology, a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the college level, and a demonstrated a commitment to teaching in both the traditional and online classroom.

Physical Demands
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMAND AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Operates standard office equipment such as a phone and computers on a frequent basis. Receives, Processes, and provides visual and verbal information, including electronic communications.
Is available for occasional irregular hours and travel. Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations. Provides timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines. Responds to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.

Salary
Salary commensurate with education and experience, per the current collective bargaining agreement.
