The mission of Wytheville Community College is to provide a quality, comprehensive education for the citizens of the counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Wythe and the city of Galax. Wytheville Community College is seeking a candidate for the Business and Industry Educational Program Administrator position.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

- Develop credentialing, certification, and personal enrichment opportunities, either credit or non-credit, for business and industry or individuals in the Wytheville Community College service area;
- Write, manage and support grants and grant developments as assigned;
- Initiate new program development, both credit and non-credit;
- Assist with Workforce Development program marketing and outreach;
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing employers in the service region in order to enhance new program development, customized training, and industry specific credentialing; and
- Work within the community to recruit and retain students in both credit and non-credit programs at Wytheville Community College.
This position will report directly to the Vice President of Workforce Development and Occupational Programs.
- Experience and/or education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university;
- Experience working with Business and Industry;
- Experience writing, managing, and supporting grants;
- Ability to build relationships with employers in the service region of Wythe, Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Galax;
- Experience in marketing; and
- Skills to recruit and retain students in both credit and non-credit programs.
- Higher education experience; and
- Experience developing programs in higher education.
