- The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor of Accounting - Tenure Track.
- This is a permanent, full-time nine-month tenure-track position to begin on August 16, 2025. Start date of January 2025 may be a possible option. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
- We are looking for applicants with a Ph.D. in Accounting, who will provide excellent teaching and student mentoring, while maintaining scholarly engagement requirements per AACSB standards. Service to the department, school, and university is also expected.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting, both on-campus and online. Teaching duties may be varied but will likely include courses in accounting information systems and
accounting data analytics. Other accounting courses may be assigned depending on experience and departmental needs. The anticipated teaching load for an academic year is generally 3/3 or 3/4, depending on
faculty qualifications. Summer courses may be available to teach for additional compensation. - Meet scholarly and/or professional engagement requirements to maintain qualification in the appropriate AACSB category. - Engage and mentor students in the exploration of career opportunities
and job placement in alignment with the mission and vision of the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business and Southern Utah University. - Work in a team-based environment and provide service to the department, school, and Southern Utah University.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- In accordance with Utah State Code 53B-1-110, appointment to this position is contingent upon the successful passing of a background check.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Accounting. ABD candidates may be considered.
- Applicants must meet the Leavitt School of Business faculty qualification standards for the appropriate AACSB classification.
- Applicants with a PhD degree must meet the academic and professional requirements to be
