The L.W. Tyree Library at Santa Fe College is hiring multiple educational aides to perform duties essential to library circulation, collection maintenance, and the provision of quality library services. The Educational Aide will maintain a functional and efficient work environment and ensure compliance with SF and FERPA policies.Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide frontline customer service excellence at Tyree Library service desks on the NW campus.
- Help library users with borrowing materials, study room reservations, computers, printing, Wi-Fi, and general library questions.
- Shelve and help maintain library materials.
- Move throughout the interior and exterior of the building to identify and communicate safety or policy concerns and/or needs.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required: The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Availability to work mornings, nights, and/or weekends.

- Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment
- Communication - able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job
- Customer Service – ability to respond promptly and courteously to all questions from students and faculty, demonstrating patience and persistence when helping students with little or no computer skills.
- Detail Oriented - Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ethics - able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all job-related actions
- Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization.
