The Assistant Women's Softball Coach will assist the Head Women's Softball Coach with the overall oversight of the day-to-day operations of the softball team.Job Description
This position is a Technical/Professional role and is paid with a supplement as per the Santa Fe College Salary Schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the head coach with sport-specific instruction, team conditioning, game strategy, facility upkeep, equipment organization, recruiting of prospects, and travel to away/games during the sport playing season.
- Ability to hit ground balls, fly balls to defense
- Ability and willingness to catch bullpens
- Ability to throw front toss/catch and throw accordingly
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Women's Softball Coach
Qualifications
Required: Associates degree OR (2) two years of directly related experience, including coaching or playing softball at the college or professional level AND (2) two years of experience of coaching softball at the high school, college, club or equivalent level.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
