Legacy Manufacturing Company is hiring a Sr. Human Resources Manager to join its team on-site in Marion, IA. Founded in 1986 Legacy is recognized as a manufacturer making high-quality, long-lasting tools and equipment used globally.

The Sr. Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all facets of human resources operations, including training, development, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy enforcement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while supporting the needs and well-being of employees. This role offers a unique opportunity for daily variety and involvement in diverse aspects of operations.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the human resources department
  • Develop and maintain HR policies in accordance with legal requirements and organizational goals
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide guidance to managers on performance management processes
  • Oversee and complete payroll administration process to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs
  • Create and update the employee handbook to reflect current policies and practices
  • Design employee retention programs to enhance employee satisfaction
  • Implement and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of human resources experience, required
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field, required
  • PHR or SPHR certification, required
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience, required
  • Previous experience in a production/manufacturing or similar environment, required
