Job Summary
This position requires solid people skills, a preference for collaboration, and the ability to apply broad experience and wide-ranging technology skills to a fully online technology environment of 200+ users in 33 metro area locations. The job is well-suited for an IT generalist to provide both onsite and remote technical support, monitor day-to-day operations, and collaborate with the rest of the department and our managed services providers to maintain and improve the technologies used by PPL to carry out its mission. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support to staff via our ticketing system, phone, and remote support tools. Troubleshoot a wide variety of issues with technology, including hardware, software, printing, networking, AV systems, email, and Microsoft 365 platforms (40%)
- Prepare, deploy, and track Windows computers, managed iPhones, and other hardware (20%)
- Assist with basic administration tasks in Microsoft 365 and Zoom phone system (10%)
- Conduct IT onboarding and offboarding of PPL employees and provide basic technical training (10%)
- Develop and maintain technology systems and process documentation in collaboration with the rest of the IT staff (10%)
- Assist staff with file management in SharePoint and OneDrive (5%)
- Collaborate with and escalate issues to other IT staff and third-party vendors (5%)
- Perform other work and assignments as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications :
- 1.5 years experience providing technical support for Windows/Microsoft 365, an office environment, and remote users.
- Experience using an IT support ticketing system experience (e.g., Halo, TDX, Freshservice, ConnectWise)
- Solid troubleshooting and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service mentality
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and time-sensitive issues
- Own and operate a motor vehicle; must have current driver’s license and auto insurance
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge and experience using and supporting SharePoint Online
- College degree and/or vocational school experience in any field
- Microsoft certifications and willingness to work toward further certifications
- More than (2)years of experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Active Directory/Entra ID)
- Basic understanding of:
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting
- Information security
- PC setup/configuration/troubleshooting/repairs
Education and/or Experience:
- 1.5 years of information technology experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of customer service experience
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 Yr., DOQ
