Position Details:
This program reports to the Department Chair, and is a part of the Public Services & Industrial Technology division.
Responsibilities:
This position has the responsibility of teaching in the Criminal Justice AAS degree program. Specific duties include providing instruction and training. Applicants will be required to teach courses online via KC’s Blackboard LMS as well as in person either at the Kilgore or Longview locations of Kilgore College.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of an associate’s degree, preferably in Criminal Justice, plus a minimum of 5 years experience in the field (police, corrections, probation, etc). Applicants with a baccalaureate or graduate degree in CJ do not need to have the five years’ experience. Computer skills to include Microsoft Office is necessary.
Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to the community college philosophy of education.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
- Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,700 per 3-hour course for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program. Positions will remain open until filled. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
