Job Description
Job Title- PT ATTENDANT-CHAP CENTER (Pool)
Position Status- Part Time
Classification Title- Part-Time Hourly-Up to 17 hpw
Work Location- Main Campus-3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX
Job Summary- Responsible for the operation of the Chap Center to include cleaning, usage control, and assisting Chap Center attendees.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of general office equipment including computer, copier, and multi-line phone
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Essential Functions
- Unloading and packing up equipment and setting up venues for events
- Work as usher, greeter, and or ticket taker
- Work under the instruction of the Chap Center Coordinator and/or Director
- Ensure Chap Center is clean and organized
- Adhere to safety standards
- Ensure excellent levels of customer service
- Perform light maintenance work
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- Use of manual dexterity
- Frequently moves boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary- $11.00 per hour
Max Salary- $11.00 per hour
