Full job description

The Development Director is responsible for driving the success of PRWC’s vital revenue programs, to achieve our mission and maximize our impact in the community. This includes planning and organizing development activities to achieve our operating and Capital Campaign goals, managing the development budget, identifying and applying for financial grants, special events planning, and working with the entire team to create and execute a successful strategy.

Development responsibilities:

· Assist our donors establish and implement their philanthropic goals

· Advance development goals with the Board

· Execute the Capital Campaign plan; generate new relationships and increase revenue to meet goals

· Execute the development plan; generate new ideas that increase revenue and donor loyalty

· Report regularly on development progress to management and the Board

· Oversee the development budget

· Develop and implement Planned Giving and Legacy programs

· Identify and apply for grant funding, and build relationships with foundation funders

· Develop and maintain relationships with existing, new and prospective donors

· Manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects

· Plan and administer fundraising and donor stewardship events

· Develop and implement face-to-face and other donor solicitations

· Develop and implement special event fundraisers for operating and capital campaign revenue

· Assist in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers in our development efforts

· Communicate development goals throughout the organization and equip team members to actively support and help reach them

Qualifications:

· 5 years of experience in nonprofit fund development, required

· Bachelors degree in nonprofit management, business, or related field required. Associates degree considered if 7 plus years of experience in related field

· Experience with Donor Perfect a plus

· Must live in the Southwest, FL area or willing to relocate to area at your expense

· Passionate about PRWC's mission and express that passion effectively

· Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills

· Exceptional project management skills, including goal-setting and deadline management

· Effective writing, speaking, presentation and active listening skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Punta Gorda, FL 33950: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
