Under direction of the Supervisor, the Histotechnologist performs technical histology tasks and procedures to include tissue processing, tissue embedding, microtomy, staining, immunofluorescence, accessioning, equipment preventive maintenance, quality control, immunohistochemistry, inventory, supply ordering, data gathering/reports, slide and FFPE block filing/retrieval and other histology related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a histotechnologist.
- Histotechnician or Histotechnology certification by A.S.C.P.
- Must be able to work all shifts, week-ends, overtime, and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $79,782 - $99,159 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $38.21 - $47.49
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
