Are you passionate about using your expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to make a significant impact in the field of public safety? Motorola Solutions is seeking a talented SQL Reporting and Dashboard Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in understanding and addressing the complex business requirements of our law enforcement customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, adapt, troubleshoot, and maintain SSRS SQL Forms and robust SQL reports.
Design and build dynamic dashboards utilizing data from our reporting data warehouse.
Collaborate with law enforcement clients to document requirements, create reports, and provide consultation on best practices related to data structure and reporting.
Facilitate the installation and setup of technical systems and applications for customers who have purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions.
Manage initial customer access, data mapping, and transfer, and create process documentation.
Conduct training for customer users on MSI Applications and SQL, ensuring effective implementation of software solutions.
Test and troubleshoot system functionalities, documenting technical issues for escalation and providing feedback to improve products and processes.
Act as the primary point of contact for application-related inquiries and collaborate with Product Management to communicate enhancement requests.
Qualifications:
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field or 3 Years of experience in a public safety Information technology field.
Proficient in Microsoft SQL and SSRS, with demonstrable experience in building and maintaining reports and dashboards.
Experience in crime analysis and reporting is preferred, along with familiarity working with law enforcement agencies.
Strong ability to independently manage complex projects, demonstrating effective organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering customized training (recorded, remote, and on-site).
Understanding of public safety policies and procedures, coupled with a strong technical knowledge of software systems and their end-to-end functionality.
Proven track record of identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies with clear communication to management.
Ability to create formal documentation and serve as a resource for colleagues.
Must possess the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts.
Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.
Please note that this position may involve working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and will require passing a stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions' customers.
Note: This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. However, due to travel and the working schedule, it is extremely preferred that candidates reside in the Western United States (California preferred).
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.

Basic RequirementsExperience in one of the following: police records management software (RMS), crime analysis reporting, law enforcement computer statistics reporting, or SQL/SSRS Reporting Services.
Experience in one of the following: Public Safety, Business Analysis, Field Service, SQL/SSRS Reporting Services.
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
