A major activity for the Policy Analyst is supporting the team’s program evaluation activities. A new project involves evaluating novel programs that support disadvantaged families’ wellbeing through improved social, developmental, and economic outcomes. The Policy Analyst will be involved in the data collection, management, and analysis processes of these evaluation activities, with opportunities to see the real-time impact of the work via ongoing collaboration with partner organizations and families.
Research activities are under the direction of the team leader and collaborative with teammates, but data management and analyses activities are often conducted independently, with support as needed. Potential for hybrid work exists.

- Master’s degree in public policy, economics, sociology, social work, or field with related skills
- Two years of related experience
- Program evaluation skills
- Strong data management and documentation skills
- Some statistical or coding skills (Stata preferred, but SPSS, R, Python, or SAS ok too)
- Interest in issues of inequality, policy, and/or community disparities
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with and writing for a policy audience and presenting data in non-academic formats
- GIS, mapping, or spatial analysis knowledge
