The Device Nurse is a highly skilled specialized nurse with experience with interrogation of implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, implanted defibrillators and implantable loop recorders). This nurse provides direct patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and works with the team to manage remote transmissions. The nurse in this clinical position is the "Rapid Response Nurse" for pacemakers and ICD's and can be called to assist with device interrogations and reprogramming in the MRI, ED or inpatient units as well as assist with EP and Device clinics and is available for troubleshooting device interactions or malfunction as the need arises. This nurse is also responsible for post-operative device interrogation and discharge teaching and instruction of the patient with an implanted cardiac device. Collaboration with EP Providers, APPs and EP Fellows is necessary to provide exceptional patient care for complex EP\ device patient populations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
RN License issued by the State of California.
BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.
Must have at least five (5) years recent outpatient cardiology/ EP RN experience.
Experience with cardiac rhythm management devices (pacemakers, ICDs and loop recorders) including remote monitoring; device interrogations and reprogramming.
- BSN.
- CCRN certifications.
- Charge nurse experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII/CNIV level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
