Senior Manager, Curriculum
GCSAA is seeking a professional with a proven record of developing and delivering competency-based continuing education curriculum in a membership association or related field. Responsibilities include overseeing content development, subject matter expert selection, formats, materials, evaluations, tools, and the overall quality of the curriculum. Future planning for the evolving needs of adult learners is core to this position. This position works with several member committees and task groups to develop and improve future and existing education which meets the needs of GCSAA members. This position oversees budget and logistics for the GCSAA conference education program.
 
 
Qualified candidates possess:
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging learning formats and technologies for adult learners
  • Ability to design and develop new continuing education certifications, certificates, and micro-credentials
  • Strong commitment to understanding and addressing member education needs, with a focus on delivering exceptional service in a professional membership association environment
  • Ability to successfully coach and lead in a supervisory role
  • Quick learner who is organized; able to meet standards for quality and accuracy while managing deadlines
  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to coordinate work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent research and analytical problem-solving skills; ability to provide and implement solutions
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in working with competency-based curriculum, membership association education, or related field
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in traditional and online education development specializing in adult learners
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (or equivalent education)
  • Experience with learning management systems, curriculum design technology and educational program planning and management
  • GCSAA will place a preference on local candidates or those willing to relocate to Lawrence, KS but will consider remote applicants
  • Knowledge of or experience with the turfgrass industry desired, but not required
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays, up to 10%

Compensation range is $67,000 - $72,000/annually. In addition to GCSAA’s attractive compensation/benefits package, we also provide generous paid leave, allow for community involvement opportunities, provide a hybrid (2 remote days/week) work schedule, enforce a year-round casual attire, staff fun events, and wellness incentives.
