Under general supervision of the Administrative Director, the Mental Health Therapist provides all aspects of psychosocial mental and behavioral health services for oncology patients through the continuum of care: diagnosis, living with cancer, recurrence, end-of-life, and survivorship. Employs a model of patient care that focuses on providing patients/caregivers with supportive counseling, support groups, psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, education, and community resource support information. Demonstrates compassion, warmth, and understanding of the psychosocial needs of oncology patients. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree in a related mental health area.
- A valid California license as a mental health provider (LMFT or LCSW) in good standing.
- Minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.
- Oncology, palliative, and end-of-life training and experience
- Bi-lingual in Spanish.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
