As an Enterprise AV Maintenance Technician at the University of Notre Dame, you will join a dynamic, cross-functional team delivering advanced audio-visual support for various spaces across the University, including classrooms, meeting rooms, and multipurpose areas. The position involves managing the entire lifecycle of audio-visual equipment, ensuring devices are correctly deployed, configured, maintained, and decommissioned as needed. The successful candidate will ensure that all endpoints are consistently updated with the latest firmware and software and monitor their performance to maintain optimal functionality. Additionally, the role includes collaborating with integrator partners on installation projects, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that all installations meet the University’s standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tier 3 Support: Delivering high-level audio-visual support to ensure seamless operation in various university spaces.
- Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning of audio-visual endpoints.
- Compliance and Monitoring: Ensuring all endpoints are up-to-date with the latest firmware and software and monitoring their performance.
- Project Collaboration: Working closely with integrator partners to support and manage audio-visual installation projects.
- Technical Guidance: Providing expert advice and ensuring installations adhere to organizational standards and specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in utilizing virtual and hybrid meeting platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement.
- Dedication to fostering a culture of continuous process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in supporting and maintaining audio-visual systems and computer endpoints in commercial or educational environments
- Familiarity with audio-visual equipment lifecycle management systems
- Technical certifications in audio-visual technology, such as Dante, CTS, or Crestron CTI
- Ability to develop SOPs and training material, as well as to lead system training and support for staff or customers,
