The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for the position of Cook 1 within Garbanzo. The UOES division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.

Garbanzo is a Mediterranean restaurant which offers scratch-made, preservative-free menu options including pitas, gyros, salads, flatbreads and more.
The Cook 1 supports daily operations as part of the culinary production team. As a Cook 1, you are responsible for completing assignments related to food preparation, assembly, cooking, and sanitation through standards of service and hospitality. As a Cook 1 with the University of Notre Dame, you will have the opportunity to support the mission and goals of a “Best in Class” dining program. UOES serves more than 15,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors in nearly 30 different eating establishments and a variety of guests daily. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-6 months of professional kitchen experience
Ability to communicate and work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to complete Basic Food Handler course
Ability to obtain ServSafe and Aller-Train certification
