Ameresco is actively seeking a talented Site Construction Manager based in California. NOTE: This is a full-time travel position for projects located throughout the state of California.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily construction, administrative and technical management of renewable natural gas (RNG) and/or combined heat and power (CHP) projects.
Assist the Project Manager and project team as required with weekly project reporting, subcontractor payment request approvals, project schedule and tracking, reporting field quality management and internal communications.
Update project team by completing daily reports and photos and report any issues of the day to project team.
Assist project team in facilitating responses to field related questions/plan discrepancies by submitting requests for information to the appropriate team member for review and response.
Assist project team with submittal procurement and help facilitate approvals.
Hold weekly update meetings and utilize project management software to prepare and distribute weekly meeting minutes.
Serve and assist as a liaison between the office and field operations.
Be the direct interface in the field with Ameresco customers managing customer service, relationships and contractual obligations.
Assist the Engineering and Development team and the Project Manager in project design and development on future projects including scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation and project scheduling.
Assist the Project Manager and Construction VP in monitoring project performance to help forecast future cost projections through to project completion for reasonableness against plans and actual expense rate.
Review subcontractor and vendor bids solicited by the Project Manager and Construction VP to help determine scope, schedule, timely delivery for all project related materials, equipment and construction services.
Assist project team in tracking, scheduling, and logging/photographing Ameresco procured equipment and materials.
Assist the Project Manager and Construction VP in managing vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality control, project delivery on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Help maintain and update project schedules to reflect current information, monitor critical path activities and tracking of outstanding items.
Provide a detailed 4 week look schedule to facilitate customer coordination and planning.
Assist the Project Manager and Construction VP in managing project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including change order management and documentation, approvals of payment requests, monthly forecasting and tracking.
Ensure compliance with company, industry, customer and jurisdictional safety standards, practices and codes.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years industrial power, electrical, mechanical, or engineering construction project management experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services.
Additional Qualifications:
Proven experience with OSHA safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, and Procore.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state.
