Position Overview:

As a Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in developing new business plus nurturing and cross selling existing client relationships. This is a high-impact, client-facing position for a driven sales professional looking to manage a book of business with substantial earnings potential and autonomy.

Location: Remote within Southern California (visits to the Fullerton terminal are encouraged)

Compensation: Base salary of $67,000 to $93,000 + Uncapped Commission

Experience: 5-10 years in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding sales preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Growth: Sell Odyssey's full suite of logistics services, including ocean freight (FTL and LTL), drayage, warehousing, distribution, and brokerage.
  • Relationship Building: Manage an extensive Southern California client book, identifying ways to expand service lines and upsell existing clients.
  • New Business Development: Actively pursue new leads and engage with decision-makers to generate new business within a designated territory.
  • Account Strategy: Work with stakeholders to ensure revenue goals and customer expectations are met, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service continuity.
  • Self-Directed Success: Design your own sales plan, manage your time effectively, and work independently without day-to-day oversight. Support from our dedicated teams is available, but it's up to you to reach out.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Logistics/Freight Forwarding: 3-5+ years of demonstrated sales success within transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding is essential. Experience in high-touch client industries is a plus.
  • Sales and Communication Skills - Demonstrated success in consultative sales, including presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and nurturing long-term business relationships.
  • Self-Motivated and Goal-Oriented - This role provides substantial flexibility, requiring a self-driven, proactive approach to reach targets. We seek individuals who thrive with autonomy.
  • CRM Proficiency - Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems for tracking leads and managing client interactions is preferred.
  • Team Alignment - Ability to work seamlessly with other team members and departments to support broader organizational objectives and client satisfaction.
