Summary of Job Duties:

Responsibilities at this AACSB-accredited college include developing and teaching undergraduate courses in Finance (Banking, Corporate Finance, Personal Financial Planning, and/or Investment/Securities), maintaining an active research agenda, and sustaining interaction with local finance professionals. Other duties will include engagement with the business community; assessment/evaluation of instruction; career advisement, recruitment, and retention activities; and participation in college and University committees. The position reports to department head of Business.


Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Work Experience: Ph.D. in Finance from an accredited institution (ABD with completion date no later than August 2025 considered)
 
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Previous teaching experience across multiple delivery modes including full online; extensive knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the profession
 
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Classroom and online instruction
  • Scholarly activity sufficient to maintain faculty appointment including a consistent record of publishing in high-quality and impactful journals
  • Service to college and University, including career advising and committees
  • Curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Assessment and evaluation of instruction
  • Engagement with the business community
 
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Activities in support of the recruitment and retention of students
  • Attendance and participation in all faculty and administrative meetings, Student Research Symposium, commencement ceremonies, and other meetings/events as required
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance.
