The purpose of this class is to provide support to the President’s Office for the President’s communication and outreach needs via print and digital media.     

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Public Relations, Marketing or similar field required. Some experience in higher education useful but not mandatory, keyed to speech writing, marketing, and supporting special events.   Proficient with drafting material to support the President’s needs through a combination of print, social media sites, and web tools. Skilled in creating digital presentations using PowerPoint or similar software preferred.

1. Assist the President in writing opinion pieces, speeches, talking points, college-wide messages and other write materials to support the President’s communication needs, largely based on content from the President’s speeches and presentations.
2. Assist in the drafting and posting of blogs for the President.
3. Develop content for college award submissions as directed by the President.
4. Develop, implement and maintain publication schedule and plan articles and materials to be submitted for possible publication placement.
5. Maintain record of publications (e.g. clippings) and past events.
6. As necessary, work and collaborate with multiple college departments to identify and develop marketing strategies to promote special projects and events.
7. Maintain schedule of promotional timelines, deadlines, and events.
8. Post content to social media sites and serve as the primary point of contact for updating and promoting content. 
9. Update/contribute content on the CCBC website and Net Community website.
