Job Description
The management department at Salem State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the fields of both business law and entrepreneurship beginning the Fall 2025 semester. This faculty member will teach classes in both business law and entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate level, and may be asked to teach undergraduate introduction to business classes.
The Bertolon School requires faculty to advise students, expects that faculty will actively and productively serve on school and university-wide committees, actively publish applied research, pursue continued professional development, and participate in community outreach activities.

Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.
Required Qualifications:
- Terminal degree or ABD in either business law or entrepreneurship; and if ABD, doctorate must be conferred by August 2025.
- Previous full time or part time teaching experience at the college level and demonstration of managing school-wide publication expectations (two publications every five years).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated industry/research experience
- Advising and/or mentoring experience
- Evidence of commitment to teaching in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic environment with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Evidence of continuous professional development & initiative
- Desire and ability to develop the entrepreneurship concentration and program
