Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Substitute Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality care and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role requires effective communication skills, strong classroom management abilities, and a passion for educating young children.

Duties

• Assist in Implementing lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Demonstrate an understanding of childhood development principles.
• Engage students in meaningful activities that promote critical thinking and creativity.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance during the assignment.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong skills in classroom management techniques.
• Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles.
• Experience or familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students and staff.
• A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in various classroom settings toddler to pre-K.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• On call
